You know, back in 2011 I was reading EqD for the first time and learned that fanfiction was actually a thing. I thought this was the dumbest and nerdiest thing imaginable, and I refused to pay it any mind until I saw this(link) piece of fanart. I must have been particularly bored that day, so I decided to give this one a try just to see how bad they were.

Naturally, I'm eternally grateful that story was Building Bridges. For a good five years now these stories (many of yours, especially) have been a perpetual source of happiness in my life, which is decidedly unhappy most of the time.

I really have so much to thank you for, a janky little tune for one story doesn't do much justice

We'll have to agree to... uh. I don't rightly know if it's disagreeing. Your words are very kind, and I could say something along the same lines. Not trying to start some sort of awkward circlejerk, but your songs mean a lot to me. I have a playlist of some 300 odd songs that are about all I (can) listen to due to a problem with stuff that's "new" atm. Everything you made's in there, and whenever the playlist picks something you've made, I'm very happy.

(For the record, you take that back! Fanfiction totally is the dumbest, nerdiest thing imaginable. And it's great.)

It is! I still read them all the time, thanks to you. I was actually about to get started on one when I noticed I'd rudely not responded to your comment.

I hope you're still writing somehow, somewhere. Otherwise such a poignant tragedy of wasted skill and talent will consume unnecessary page space in future generation's history textbooks for eons to come

You're very kind, again, though, well. I wouldn't be me if I didn't feel compelled to say I don't think I'm worthy of any such praise. But, rather than waffle on about that, suffice to say it that I was always around in *some* respect. I didn't "leave pony" out of some deliberate choice. Rather, life happened very severely.

I still don't know if life is done happening. It probably isn't. But I'm hammering out some words for a blog update on FimF right now. May re-use some of the words above, in fact.

It's hardly an "I'm back", but... it's a "I am not done writing on principle, I never was, and I never stopped loving pony. Let's see what happens, hey?"

How about you? Six months since your last song is hardly enough to start asking if you're "gone", since I expect making music takes a while, but I'll say I loved For Posterity. You manage to do this thing where your songs fiddle with my heart without going uncomfortably deep into melancholy tunes (as some music "like" yours easily could). I like your more upbeat stuff the most, of course, but... listen, you don't need another tongue-lavishing from me. It gets lewd to keep praising you in public.

You should toss me a mail sometime, or a PM, if you feel like talk, maybe. Fair warning: I am slow. The fact that this reply is six weeks late says everything. I mean it when I say I'm not necessarily "back", whatever that means, but I'd be remiss if I didn't at least pop by again to say thanks, please keep making music, and please keep being awesome.

I saw your message on FiMF and I could hardly believe it! The fact that my favourite author might drop another story absolutely made my day It's also pleasantly surprising that you're still into the pone gig; it seems as though the few highly talented authors in the fandom's history have been rather transient. I sincerely hope life gets better for you, and that you get to continue writing. That is, if it's still something you still enjoy. Just know that I, for one, will always be here - waiting, hoping. It may be strange to say, but I can't overstate just how much your stories have contributed to a defining epoch in my life

Music has been a bit tough lately, but I have a few half-completed ideas and songs here and there. A recent OS update has messed with a bunch of my audio programs and I'm still working out the kinks. I'll probably make an announcement at some point on my channel about me still being alive. I've also pulled together as many of my tracks as I could find over the years and made a compilation album with organized metadata, so that would be a good place to drop the mediafire link.

I'll be in touch! Likewise feel free to hit me up whenever. I'm all over the place, dA, curse, steam, skype, tumblr, FiMF, youtube. Although I do have a bad habit of not checking my messages on dA haha
