# About me
My work is a reflection of the intense colors in Arizona’s landscapes, along with the influences from Mexican and Native American cultures. I especially enjoy telling a story in my paintings, weaving in symbols and creating color vibrations.Oil painting is a slow and long process; I might only complete 2 or 3 paintings a year, so I am choosy about which subjects I decide to paint. I never know where I will find inspiration for my next painting. I may see a photo, hear a story, or feel an emotion and the painting begins to form in my mind. For this reason I’ve never adhered to one particular style of art, I incorporate both surrealism and impressionism in many of my pieces.
The people in my life and my personal experiences have weighed heavily in inspiring and motivating my painting. My art is a reflection of my past and present. As an artist, my goal is to entertain and invoke emotions through my paintings.
