I come because it will be your birthday .. and to pay tribute to the photographer/artist who was always willing to share her work with others. Your sweet nature was beyond compare. I miss you, Violet.

After spending a few years away from dA, I'm saddened to only just now learn about your passing, Violet. You have always been a great inspiration to me and my bird photography. I am honoured to have known you, and most importantly, I had the privilege to call you my friend. Words can't even describe how important your love and support helped me become a better photographer. You had a huge heart, and it showed with every word you spoke. We talked about getting together for a shoot some day, but sadly, that never happened. Thank you for being the amazing friend that you were, and for offering your advice and support. You will be missed for many years to come. I'll never be able to take another picture of a bird again without thinking of you.
