Big Things: She Grows On YouStanding in the middle of a kitchen that she wasn’t at all familiar with Angela felt very out of place. She just kind of watching as Manami rushed around the kitchen doing a series of things that to Angela seemed as foreign as anything she had ever seen, but she was pretty sure she was just making a lunch. She wanted to speak up and ask what she was doing to be sure but be she also felt that might be rude for some unknown reason.
Angela couldn’t help but feel a certain attraction to the busy Asian woman as she was moving around in the tiny kitchen and in such a hurry, yet never really moving more than a foot one direction or the other. She stood nearby watching Manami, and as she was watching her rush around Angela could not help but notice her dress because it seemed very familiar to her. It seemed more familiar than anything else about the house. Angela looked her up and down taking in every marvelous inch of the miniscule woman. Manami was wearing cute little white tenni
Big Things: Far From Home6,854 miles or as she was learning these days 11,030 kilometers lay between Angela and her home back in Atlanta, Georgia. For the past year she had been living in Tokyo, Japan thanks in large part to her mother’s job. She had been plucked, uprooted from the only life she had ever known twelve months ago and was only now starting to settle into her new life. She had not really made a lot of new friends in her time living in Tokyo. Mostly because she knew that the move wasn’t permanent. After a year of living abroad with her mother she only had about six months left in Japan. So soon she would be going back home where she belonged.
She didn’t dislike Tokyo, but it wasn’t home. She didn’t have to look far to be reminded that she wasn’t home either. Every sign smacked her in the face to remind her how far away from home she was. A lot of her classmates spoke english, but they didn’t really understand her. To many of them she was an oddity. It didn&
Big Things: Mun SeishinPredictably her own mother didn’t noticed anything different about her. People on the train ride treated her as though she was mostly invisible. Once at Manami’s home Angela was again disappointed to find out that she didn’t pay her any more attention than she had the day before.
As a matter of fact Manami was out the door before Angela could even attempt to show off for her by sticking her slightly swollen chest out and up. So instead of getting any more notoriety for the new look of her body, she was left alone in the house with Shigeko. Who not surprisingly enough was still upstairs in bed.
“Well that could have all went better” she stated sarcastically to herself. Alone in a stranger's house in an unfamiliar neighborhood, Angela was pretty sure that there were horror movies that started very much the same way. Add in what seemed to have happened to her while she had slept and she couldn’t shake the feeling like she was trapped in a bad foreign B
Big Things: In the Playhouse“Supirittsu o shōsan” Shigeko whispered to Sayuri to Sayuri. “Hai kōi de” Sayuri replied as she nodded her head slowly. Sayuri held the metal button that had loosed itself from Angela’s now much worse for the wear jeans.
The two young girls looked at their now larger babysitter. “Kanojo wa mada sorehodo ōkikunai nodesuga, kanojo wa yori attrctivedesu.” Sayuri replied as both little girls grinned and giggled a little. “Hai” Shigeko said as she continued to laugh with her friend.
Angela on the other hand was getting more angry the longer she sat there with the two little girls sitting across from her. “Will you two please speak english, it’s hard for me to keep track of what you are saying in the best of times never mind the fact that I just grew right here in front of you.” Angela looked down at her swollen and changed body not completely recognizing it. A stream of tears began to work their way from
Big Things: On the OutsideAt just 6 feet tall, 6 feet long, and 4 wide. The little playhouse was the perfect size for two little girls who were both on the small size. Even with Angela inside the playhouse there had been a smidge of space so that each of the girls could turn around and even play a little if they had been so inclined. Which had been part of the reason they had all piled into the thing in the first place.
That was right up to the moment that each of their forms began stretching. What little spare room there had been inside of the playhouse quickly evaporated. Each of the girls smashed into each other as the boards creaked as the weight load increased very quickly.
Shigeko who had been less than three and a half feet tall to begin with could not believe her good fortune the moment her growth was evoked. She had always felt like she was a much larger person than her body had ever allowed her to be.
Now thanks to this American girl who had somehow garnered the interest of the Japanese mythical creat

Please forgive me ^-^' this was my mess up. From a distance, instead, I thought it was showing something else (if you know what I mean), but when I zoomed in, I just realized it wasn't what I thought, and it was actually a smaller version of a character.

DEVELOPMENT: PERSONALITY
Focus on personality and interests when making your character and those are the categories that should have the most information because they describe who this person is at a specific point in time, or how they develop over time.
Try to avoid listing standard things about your character that are super predictable or could describe just about anyone. Add details that show character depth and set them apart from the other characters out there. Certain ones you may want to make more memorable than others.
Don’t throw too many diverse things into your character. If your character is all over the place, they will easily lose their identity to the reader. Try to focus on a few main interests or skills for your character to highlight.
