Kinda' accidentally stumbled upon "Wright as Rayne" a few days ago. Wound up reading through.
Sarabeth is awesome! Even if she is running a huge criminal organization, she seems like a good person. Mostly . Even with all of the questionable things we've seen her do, she seems to have good intentions behind them all, up to having a backup plan for Dorothy, which was something I'd been wondering about until she went more in-depth with it. Also kinda' makes me wonder how she became the head of this organization in the first place. And curious about her relationship with the prisoner she's currently talking to. Like whether this person was legitimately dangerous and needed to be kept securely away, or if Sarabeth legitimately wronged this person. But point is, she's wonderful as a not-that-bad bad guy.
Power seems to enjoy her position of power a bit more, and she certainly comes off as more villainous, but she's fun, and seems to enjoy trolling others (trolling them with purpose in mind, as opposed to simply for the lulz). Even if she is obviously more villainous than Sarabeth, she's never really come across as quite that bad, even with things like kidnapping Candice. And she does seem to care about Rebecca, even if she may not have originally intended to care about her as a person.
Lillian seems sweet. I do wonder how much she knows about the business--if she knows anything, she doesn't seem to talk about it, anyway--and I do wonder how she and Sarabeth get along. It's a nice little friendship she and Laura and Alex have together, anyway .
Also, from the little we've seen, Candice is great! It seems like she's going to get more important later.

Heh, wow, that means a lot, glad you enjoy so much. We definitely appreciate all of the kind words and we would love to hear your thoughts on things more often. Hopefully you enjoy what all is to come from everyone you mentioned and more as things proceed, will go ahead and say Lillian will be getting much more prominent soon. Thanks for the input.

Yeah, the comics have been in the works for a long while now, and there's a big backlog on what all's to come. We have even more over at . Thanks for the support!

I got a question about powers.
We have Sareena, her family, Misty, and... pretty much the entire cast of Black Princess being witches or otherwise straight-up paranormal. We have the Blue-Blooded Children having some sort of X-gene type thing going on for them. And then we have the non-powered heroes like Alex and Ivy League.
But what about the others? John, for instance, has his fire powers, but that seems to fall under a different category and usage than Sareena's magic. It's too specialized, and if it's just magic, surely he would've used other spells by now. I considered that he was an extremely rare Blue-Blood from the previous generation whose origins weren't really noticed due to obscurity, but double-checking the pages he bleeds red in some panels, so that's out. Is he descended from some secret order of Firebenders we haven't learned about yet?
Same goes for Candice, whose powers I already know (benefits of being a lurker for months is you don't know what I already know; hehehehe). She's likely one of the Blue Children, but then again you can't be sure with her. Specialty magic? She herself doesn't know the origin?
And Martina... Well, we're left wondering that in-universe, but she seems to use magic artifacts.
See, when you introduce so many types of superpower origins, then have characters whose power origins aren't said, it gets me wondering.

Heheh. Well, long and short of it is that there are other people in the universe born with powers that are less-obvious than Blue-Bloods are are much less well-known (for one thing, they don't have the higher IQs or differently-colored blood as Blue-children). The explanation for where these come from is gonna come later down the line, though it does involve magic. The main difference for these general powers and Blue-children is that the general ones seem more vauge and broader and scope, but much weaker.
Magic is more or less just Magic and anyone can learn it, though apparently some families are better suited than others. What Martina's powers are and where they come from is explored later in Blues.
Can tell you that Candice isn't Blue, though. I think that gets addressed in the comic when we find out what her power is properly (Thanks for keeping a lid on that, by the way ^^).
Hope that answers your questions. ^^

DearWright-As-Rayne,
I just finished reading your story "Dear Princess Celestia...." and I really must know... ...Why didn't Princess Celestia respond to Twilight Sparkle's letters?

For whatever reason you might think she didn't. ^^
