I live in the south United States and pursue interests including natural horsemanship/horseback riding and digital/traditional art medias, mostly featuring horses. Yes, I am obsessed with horses. I also am a model horse hobbyist and tackmaker. :)

My biggest interest is horses. I practically live with them. I hope to achieve my goal of going professional with horse training in natural horsemanship.

I take requests for traditionally or digitally drawn art.

Thanks! Yes, it's quite fun to take pictures from horseback. It's not an angle any professional photographers would typically get, so it's a special thing for me.

I couldn't agree with you more about Tony. I love him to pieces. I just can't imagine life without him. :) (Smile)

True, it is a bit of a different angle :) (Smile) And I think it's great you found the horse that you feel that way about. The only one I ever adored quite like that I haven't seen for 5 years. Can I randomly ask what breed Tony is? (if you know and are happy to tell me, that is?) I'm just really curious because in some of his pictures he looks faintly Arabian.

I read about your dream horse. I'm so sorry about that. I know how you feel.

Mine and Tony's story is like that. You will find your dream horse, don't ever doubt that. There is likely a horse out there waiting for you to help them right now.

Tony is a Dutch Riding Pony (google it, if you're into reading about that kind of stuff). He's 14.2, but I don't care if he's not a big warmblood. :) (Smile) I'm a pleasure rider/wannabe natural horsemanship trainer, so it really doesn't matter.

Tony is mostly TB and Arab, with some very recent Welsh Pony introduced.

Like I said, you will find your horse. Whether or not it's the Arab, you'll have a blast with them. :) (Smile)

You did? Yeah, I'm sorry, too, but in some ways I also think it's a good thing because I'd probably not have really known what I was doing with a horse, had I bought him back then, anyway. I'm not so sure about the 'dream horse' part, but I'll find one that I click with one day if I'm meant to ^^.

I may just google his breed when I have time :) (Smile) It sounds like he's an Anglo Arabian-Welsh cross so I'll definitely have to look up how that all filters into a Dutch Riding pony (I'm guessing its a sort of type classification rather than a breed in its own right). And I'm the same; I like the smaller ponies. Thanks for telling me

Yeah, I'm in no rush to find another horse, but it will definitely be Arabian when I do. That's the only breed I want to own and I've already given up another pony because he wasn't one. I'm just set on that breed Shrug Shrug Shrug Shrug Shrug Shrug Shrug

Yeah, I can understand becoming set on a breed. Arabs are definitely much easier keepers than other horses (aside from the cold, which can be resolved with blankets). And they are also gorgeous :) (Smile)

Are you after any particular arab bloodlines, or just any arab?

It can be worth checking local horse sales pages for quality horses.

Yeah, I've always loved Arabians. Though being easy to keep has nothing to do with it; I just love their appearance :D (Big Grin)

I'm not after specific bloodlines, no. I'm just looking for a horse that has the personality I want, along with the typical conformation; the dished face, high set tail etc. I've looked through lots of ads over the years, every now and then I just go back and check again to see which are new :) (Smile)

Sure thing! My dream would be to breed some of those guys. And Arabs, too, as I'm a bit of an Arab junkie as well. :) (Smile)

Yes, even though you don't find many nice horses, Craigslist can be worth a try. You can certainly get horses dirt cheap there. Some are even well-trained and bred.

I definitely wish you luck with looking for your horsie!
