Awesome gallery.
I really wish Riot made a Tekno-Man (ilarge.lisimg.com/image/62893/β¦ ) skin for Jarvan IV and as you level up, the armor upgrade just like Tekno-Man. It would be awesome.

So Mr. Charles! You seem to be pretty good at answering your comments and questions, so hopefully you won't mind if I had a few myself.
As someone who is a professional and also obviously skilled, what are your thoughts on using models and stock for practicing anatomy and posing? I can understand the importance for practicing, yet sometimes I feel cheap when doing so, as if I'm just copying or tracing someone elses' poses and work. Also, what are your thoughts on using stock for more professional, finished pieces instead of just on sketches? Would you have any suggestions on how to come up with poses without having to rely on models and stock?
Thanks so much!! You're honestly an inspiration. I look forward to seeing more of your work c:

Hi there! to answer your question, i think it depends on the intention of your work. There's no shame in using models and stock as reference, as long as it stays as reference.
For starters, the key is to build up enough knowledge about anatomy so that you can at least block in your gestures and poses the way you intend. "Reference" is then used to fill in areas of the body that you might have more difficulty constructing. I would recommend taking up analytical figure drawing. Learning your muscle groups, bone structures, proportions, planes, contours etc, which will reinforce your knowledge of figure drawing as you work. Don't just copy either, know what proportions you want, play around with shapes. I would refrain from tracing, it becomes a mindless exercise where actively thinking and solving problems will get you much further. I personally keep a mirror next to me when I'm working, makes it easy to just pose and get specific angles and reference I need. Hope this was helpful!

It sure was! Thanks a ton, Yideth
Actually, I had one more if it wouldn't be too much of a bother. Do you have any suggestions on practicing and improving in general? I'll try to sit down when I can to work on anatomy, shading, perspective, etc. but I haven't been able to work it into my schedule. That being said, the best I can normally do is doodle on the side, which doesn't provide the best results. Β I try my best to to make sure that any doodle time is semi productive and not completely mindless, but if you had any ideas on how to bump that to the next level, or any tricks/exercises to make practicing be more effective, that would be great.
