Eric Maurice DuncanProfessional Cognitive Creative Artist/ Social Status & Zeitgeist Writer
Eric Duncan received his degree from the University of Illinois at Chicago in graphic design and art history, in 1995. He has worked professionally in the graphic design for five years, taught graphic design, and continues to freelance for commissions. He has high-level instructional design, design concept, and multimedia experience.
He creates simple graphic illustrations that have secondary and tertiary meaning. He uses deep meditation and actual observation to create art pieces. Using ink as his primary medium, then adding color pencil, crayon or colored oil pencils gives his work a child-like appearance; yet it is also provocatively adult and expresses metaphysical & psychological themes of individual, didactic, ethnicity and dreamtime. His favorite surrealist artist is Belgian artist RenΓ© Magritte.
