gosh, I have been incommunicado, haven't I?   Homeschooling has been taking up all of my time here lately and I haven't had any time to draw or write. *sad face*  I had an epiphany that I need to make sure my oldest is ready to start HIGH SCHOOL next year and so there has been a lot of butts being kicked into high gear, curriculum being tweaked and the realization that GOOD GRAVY I ALMOST HAVE A HIGH SCHOOLER.  You have no idea how glad it makes me that you missed me I'm here, my A.D.D. has just taken over and my house looks like a book and paper factory exploded inside it. 

Did I mention I almost have a high schooler and this person needs to be ready for college in a few short years and it falls on me to make that happen?    

Seriously, it did my heart good to know I have been missed!  It's the reminder that I need to take time for myself too

We all need time for ourselves. In fact, as a high schooler your oldest will probably learn that down time is important to resting one's mind and preparing to study again. Plus you were really doing well with the human figure series (I only watched the first video) and your practices so far looked awesome.

But family comes first, of course. That's so intimidating, to have a high schooler, but the wife and me were marveling last night at how our 3 yr old used to be a squishy chunkball in our arms when he was an infant. I have a feeling that first decade passes really fast. Cherish your younger ones too and I'll try to enjoy having a toddler who isn't too cool for his parents yet. Because I'm really dreading that eventuality...

Oh! Zara was wondering where you've been as well. So two people missed your ADD'd presence!

it certainly does pass by VERY quickly!  I have a man-child and I am not sure when that happened.  Seems I was wiping his butt for him not too long ago.  

You and Zarabethe rock my socks.  I know we only just recently became acquainted on dA, but it seriously makes me all squishy and happy that you and Zara were wondering about me.  I drew tonight!  Inspiration hit, and it was your character sheet on your big Skullsplitter dude that did it.  Will be posting shortly lol

That community support can often make the difference between getting artwork done or not, though of course explosions of paper and books comes first. I'm actually going to remember the buttwipe comment for the first time my son throws a fit as a teenager. I never had any idea how much my own parents did for me until now!

Seriously though, feedback and mutual inspiration is awesome. We need to get more people in this ring of bouncing electricity going.

I am delighted by this like you wouldn't BELIEVE.  Zara, I have been wanting to find a way to start up a conversation without seeming stalkerish since ihsan mentioned you are in my club and by club I mean HOMESCHOOLING MINIONS.  I have four boys in my brood.  I am beyond delighted to formally make your acquaintance!  And your review on my one-shot absolutely made my day.

squeeee!!  I am so excited you posted it!!.  I'll definitely read it!  Sometimes the darkness has to have its place before the light can snuff it out, or just so we can love the light MORE and cling to it.   I appreciate your disclaimers and also your sensitivity to your readers.  Remember what I said about a really good author having the ability to make his readers FEEL STRONGLY, and that doesn't always have to be positive or fluffy feelings.  Sometimes it's horror and disgust, and that always leads to such feelings of vindication when things come full circle.  You, my friend, possess that ability in spades! 

I've been meaning to reply to you and Zara but it's been a crazy end to the week!  Looking forward to sitting down today and doing just that!
