I've never pursued 3d (other than what I was forced to do in school to graduate) because I enjoy drawing my characters in each pose (I'm also not a fan of doing puppet style 2d animation). I always felt like 3d animation felt more like controling and posing a puppet and since I also love drawing and illustration I didn't really enjoy it as much.

I also feel I am able to get the most expression out of 2D frame by frame personally compared to other methods since I always felt limited by rigs. For example, if I want my characters eyes to jump out of their head or their jaw to drop on the floor in one scene, just drawing it seems much easier than trying to get a model rigged to do it for just right for one scene (I'm not saying others don't do this successfully, just me). And yes, my school was very forceful about us pursuing 3d because they felt there were more positions available for it (and they want their money back lol).

And HOLY CRAP you are an awesome singer!!! You are so multi-talented it is great. I had no idea you did music too. What other kind of music work have you done? I'd love to hear more. I've been trying to learn more about music myself recently since I'd like to at least be able to do ambient background music in Chroma Black. I did the music in the recent segment of the demo I released but I'm not sure it is any good lol

That's cool I completely understand that! It certainly shows in your work how much time and effort you put into your work
Well to be fair having a 3D characters eyes pop out of their head would be a lot more disturbing than that of a 2D drawing 2D In my opinion has always been a lot more free in creativity, I was never very good at drawing so it's probably why I never pursued it. But you, You got this

Funnily enough I actually like 3D for the reason you don't like it as much I always found 2D drawing to be a bit on the tedious side for my taste. I felt like I was starting all over from the very being when I tried to do 2D animation and drawings. I Like The "puppet" aspects of 3D, as once a model is done I can control them in any manner I like. I wouldn't have to start modeling the same character again to get a new position, unlike 2D I would have to start all over for each new pose I needed.

But I felt her model was sub-par and never did the voice overs for it....It's still sitting somewhere on my desktop waiting for me to delete it But I'm really glad you like her I learned a lot when creating her as well Thank you Thank you You are far to kind!

Really you think so? Thank you I use to sing in a school choir when I was much younger for a few years 3-5 grade and a little for middle school as well But that was years ago obviously

Totally understandable. You really have to love drawing to be a 2D frame by frame animator, that's for sure. The key to redrawing each frame is a combination of "getting the character in your hand" (drawing them from every angle a thousand times) and using modelsheets and onion skins.

Elena is so adorable! I'm shocked you see her as sub par! I hope you don't delete her T_T

I never heard of Spelling Phailer before. And yes! I did use FruityLoops/ FL Studio. Hoping to dabble in music a bit more soon.

I like to doodle, It's simple and quick. And I can get a general idea of what the character is going to look like after just a few sketches. On second thought maybe I'm just lazy

I had to look up what an "onion skin" was, I remember doing these in high school They were kinda of fun!

No Not Elena silly girl the tutorial videos I was planning to do, Unfortunately Elena has a lot of mistakes. Flat hands, Flat Textures, and a very basic rig. :/ But I'm really glad you like her  

Really? He's done music for a lot of Youtubers, Or at least I should say he use to. Kinda vanished from the web as of late. Either or I thought he did your music. I hope you'll share your music with the rest of the world too ^-^ I'm not very good with sound software. So I mainly stick to the guitar Perhaps I'll give Fruity loops another go at it!
