you are correct
the sun IS actually a very hot star, which is yellow/orange. but, when you see these pictures, they use a special lens so taht it blocks out the light and they can actually see the surface, otherwise it would be all white
and here is an actual picture taken in space, and as you can see, it has a blue-ish tone: [link]

gosh thank you ! i really wasnt expecting such great response on Give Me Peace. I felt my other pieces were all really stark in colours and more alive and i was afriad this piece would not compare. but im astonished so many people like it. awfully overwhelmed. im glad you liked it
