Hey Taylor!

Thanx for the compliment, and I'd be glad to share with you "what I know", which isn't really a lot.
I'm basically a self-taught artist, and was blessed with a God-given talent, so I don't have a lot of technical advice for you.

I guess the main thing I find when working with Prisma colored pencils is to "build" them up slowly, and end up THICK! I usually start with a good quality WHITE art paper, and when I'm done you can't see any of the original paper!

Very much like oil painting, "building" one color upon another. The beauty of Prisma colored pencils is that you don't have to wait a day in between layers!

Another trick I do, is first put some color down, and when it gets thick enough, blend it together. They make special colorless pencils for that. I've used all kinds of stuff, Q-tips, Paper blending sticks, even cigarette butts! (I don't smoke though)

You can use Prisma color Markers too. I sometimes lay down a "base-coat" with markers first, and then use pencils on top. It seems to save quite a bit on the pencils.

One more thing is, when you get your drawing to a certain point and you seem to keep smearing it with your hand, I spray it with a quick-dry fixitive. You can get that at your art store, just tell them what you are trying to do.

I break ALL the rules when it comes to drawing...I just experiment with different things until I get something to work the way I want it to.
