# About me
Hello! My name is Sena L. Wilson, proprietor of Nana’s Gallery. I am a professional freelance artist specializing in digital fine art, illustrations/renderings, and greeting card designs. My love for art started when I was very young. Often my mother found me napping at the dining room table over a sketch I had just completed. Visions of art filled my dreams. I knew I wanted to be an artist.Through the years I worked in the business world and raised a family. During this period of time, I also wrote articles for a community paper, held a public elected political position, and served on a community ambulance Board of Directors. Whenever possible, I continued to study and develop my skills as an artist with college courses, such as West Palm Beach Jr. College, the Palm Beach Art Institute, and specialized training under various artists. My artwork has been exhibited in numerous galleries and art shows in Missouri and Texas. I am a past member and volunteer of the Brazosport Art League in Lake Jackson, TX, and a present member of the Board of Directors for BCDC.
I have illustrated several books for various clients, including poetry, children’s bible stories, book covers, and a greeting card for a worldwide publishing company.
Thanks to my wonderful husband, who relentlessly encouraged me to follow my dream, I dove into launching my art career head first at a late age in life. That is when I discovered the “new” media – digital art. I invested three to four years studying, exploring and achieving techniques regarding this media. Henceforth, I made the transition from traditional manually painting to digitally painting.
Every painting is created using artists brushes and an artist tablet designed for computers. A painting may take 40 – 60 hours to develop, and I love every minute of it. I am very passionate regarding my paintings..a gift from God.
I lean toward detail in most of my paintings. I believe detail makes a painting come to life, as well as good composition and color. I believe God gave me the talent, and I want to use it to the best of my ability. Hopefully my creations will serve others in that it brings them joy, comfort, or restores memories of the past. Remember…with the small stroke of a brush or pen, the gallery of God’s beautiful world has no end.
Thank you for stopping by….and may you have a blessed day!
