oh how rude of me! haha well as far as portraiture goes the kind of tips i usually say would be like when im drawing the particular part of the body eg the eye ball i try really hard to picture in my mind what it looks like and feels like texture wise and it just kinda flows out of my hand, im sorry that might not make sense i also use rubbers alot to help with the highlighting and toilet roll (charming) to help get the smooth texture of skin. ive also found it really helpful to know alot about what goes on beneath the skin, like where the muscles and bones are so even if the photo isnt great you can sort of exaggerate everything and make it your own...i really hope this is helpful in some way i also use thin black marker pens when im finished on the bits that i want extra dark like the pupils or nostrils, etc. please let me know if any of that jibber jabber was remotely helpful goooood luck lemme know how it goes!

haha youre not being creepy at all, and no im not, i just left, but its not highschool over here in scotland, im going to art college at edinburgh in september, and it looks like im using charcoal yes but i have the same problem as you, plu si dont find it as detailed as i want so i go over with a bit of black paint at the end for shadows, etc. and thankyou, i officially feel welcomed

wow. give it a couple of months lol and youll be able to do anything you have skill when it comes to this, and the black paint is a creative idea! and i bid you best of all wishes at art college! id love to got to one too
