Do you have a favourite big finish Doctor Who audio? I've been meaning to get one for my family for christmas, but I've only ever seen the TV series, so I have no clue which ones are good and which are bad.

Chimes of Midnight is one of the best Doctor Who stories ever. and it's even christmas related!
Seasons of Fear is amazing too, but features maybe a bit more continuity than a first time listener would want. They're both 8th doc.
Other ones I would view as all time classics:
Doctor Who and the Pirates - musical story! lot of fun.
Spare Parts - Origins of the Cybermen, chilling stuff, RTD was heavily inspired by it for his revamped cybermen
Colditz - 7 Vs Nazis with time travel twists.
The Holy Terror - Brilliantly well thought out concepts and the companion's a talking penguin.
Jubilee - RTD based Dalek on this. it's about an alternate britain post war with the daleks. and comments on the nature of humans in a very dark way.
The Kingmaker - Excellent comedy, cheeky nods to 4th and 9th doctors, wonderful character writing.
Lurkers At Sunlight's Edge - Doctor Who does Lovecraft essentially.
Master - some very very hammy theatre style performances detract from the tense atmousphere now and again, but this story gives you a different angle on the Master, who never really gets enough expansion on screen i reckon.
A Death in the Family is another of my favourite who stories EVER, but you really have to entrench yourself in the big finish range to understand most of it. Most of these have nothing to do with the big name monsters from Who history, and a lot of Big Finish is best when it makes up new creatures.

If you had to make a list of episodes of doctor who one has to watch (old ones, 7th and earlier). Which ones would be on that list?
