Hello! I'm Alkyone, and I've recently returned to dA after a very long, LONG, disappearance, ha. I've been posting my art on FurAffinity, and decided that hey, it couldn't hurt to expand! So I'm back, baby. B)

I'm a Wildlife Conservation major at Juniata College, with an endgame goal of working on the Black-Footed Ferret conservation project at the Phoenix Zoo! BFFs are the most endangered mammal in North America, and at one point were reduced to 8 wild individuals which were all captured and were the basis for the captive breeding project which has quite literally brought the species back from the brink of extinction.

Horses are another of my passions! I'm going to be serving as secretary of my school's equestrian team next spring! Hopefully we'll have begun competing in the IHSA, so if you happen to be competing against us, come find me! We can engage in gentlemanly (gentlewomanly?) banter.

Final note: I am a furry! I'm going to be attempting my first fursuit over the course of the summer, so hopefully WIP shots will be posted here!

ah, not much. college and whatnot :P (Lick) working at a day camp doing nature-y things (fishing and survival skills) with kids right now.

yep! it's actually the same camp. i hadn't gone there for like 4 or 5 years and they all still remember me. it's the only reason i got the job, honestly. connections and all that.
i go to Juniata College, for wildlife conservation. shocking, amirite? how about you? doin' the college thing?

Nah I'm not in school right now, just hanging around the house. It's hard for me to stick with it since the homework ... makes me very anxious. That's one thing that's changed over these years. I was in Plattsburgh SUNY for a while, though. Have you got an IM thingy you can chat with conmigo? :3
