Mostly because at my school, if it's your birthday, the whole school sings to you. If you're an unpopular kid, everyone's like:

"...Happy birthday to... (VERY FEW PEOPLE SAY THE PERSON'S NAME)..Happy birthday to you!"

Then no one ever acknowledges that person again xD I don't need that awkward moment in my life

I already told you that I was 'the outcast' right? so only 3-4 people knew it was my b-day, and only 1 already knew before that day. and I didn't want to tell everyone that it was my b-day cuz then the WHOLE class would sing hbd to you and I'd get embarrass so I didn't tell anyone

I'm just glad that outside of my class, my other friends threw me and one of my other friend a birthday party sorta thing. one of them, who reminded everyone else in my group that it was my b-day as well wrote my this 2 pages of A4 card

I didn't really care if anyone remember cuz when I go home my parents would bought me cake anyway XD

When it's my birthday, I dance to las mañanitas with each of my parents. Since I can't dance, and it's usually at 6 in the morning, it's an uncomfortable moment xD

I mean I can kinda dance, just not legit XD

my family don't even follow Thailand tradition, we just like "It your b-day! we got you a cake!" and my Aunts will be like "What do you want for your b-day" and I always reply with "up to you" cuz I don't really want anything in particular XD

in Thai, we were supposed to go to the temple and stuff but I never really did one of those XD so yeah, I second that

I think traditions is kinda left out these day. SOME are fun, but usually they're so boring. like here we have a festival called 'songkran' where we can splash water at eachother for fun in public for 3 days, but we don't go trick or treat on Halloween, things like that

XD I don't think you have to follow traditions to be a Mexican

I would love to try some Mexican food some day, people says it real good. Thailand have some good food too, I really LOVE tom yun kung and kanom jeen (which ironically translate into China's sweet when it's a food from Thailand XD) green chicken curry is REALLY good too!
