The Slip Stream ParadoxIn 2015 Laci Foster twenty years old. She was also a graduate assistant in the science department at Metro Atlanta State. She was working on her Doctorate in theoretical physics. Her future was extremely bright.
In 2018 Laci Foster was twenty three years old. She was a washed up has been in her field. She was barely able to hold down steady work despite holding multiple advanced degrees. Her future looked extremely bleak.
As she stood next to an old bunsen burner in her tiny bathroom for warmth. She pondered over her rapid descent into the bottom of the barrel. As all the times before she struggled with why everyone had felt so threatened.
She often considered herself and her life to be much like the old story of Icarus. Maybe she had reached too high, or too fast. Maybe she had flown too close to the sun and in return it had caused her burnout much too soon.
She understood that some of her theories had been radical, she also understood that some of them flew in the fact of convention.
