In regard to the alteration of one's user interface, I have never seen the labors of others as an act of defiance to the common software, rather, a transcendence from the confines of old technology to a glorious new era of advancement. I'm stuck on the idea of the 21st century being a completely revolutionary departure from the ways of the old, and I actively seek means to perpetuate my ideals, even if only on a personal level. Deviant Art and all allied with her represent a means to this vision, and an end to the stagnant technological mind.
