If it sits still long enough it WILL get painted! That is the most repeated thing said by my family about me. The next most frequently recurring line: “is she sleeping or designing?”I have created art in some form or another for as long as I can remember. I do design my projects in my head with my eyes closed. Often I have stopped in the middle of a project to lie down and visualize my next step before continuing.
I choose a career in health care over art to my one true regret in life. I use my creativity as an outlet for the pain and devastation I have witnessed working in health care. Art is forgiving, it does not care if you make a mistake, it does not cause ruin,
it can alter the course of your life for the better.
I consider myself self-taught as I received no formal training in painting until just recently. My wish for every being on the planet is to share in a group of other beings whom share the same passion, be it painting or cooking or running or what ever. The energy, enthusiasm, and support of belonging to such a group is amazing. I thank the ladies from the Wednesday Morning Art Class for the encouragement and laughter shared with me each week.
My favorite on canvas medium is oil, I use acrylic on things.
