Hey I'm trying to design a bw style sprite of the bamboo kimono girl Ultra Beast and I was wondering if you have any tips on how I can shrink it down and make its bamboo body look good

Honestly, I was staring at that UBeast for like 20 minutes trying to figure out how to put the sprite together and fit it in the grid but I guess we can only wait for official artwork and reveal to see how it moves...i mean you can try spriting it now and fix it later when its officially revealed.
