Β I do really appreciate your drawings, reminding the italian Rinascimento, and the french tradition of theΒ XVIIe / XVIIIe S. They are very attractive, and original. Do you live in Italy?

FLorian Florian! I can't wait for you to see my next painting. I posted a small picture of it, the the quality of the image is not the greatest, but I was impatient! I am still pursuing the painting! Life got crazy for a moment, but I am back in the studio. I hope you are doing well Florian!

Oh Florian, my visions are finally beginning to come to me through metaphorical positionings of the human figure. I am learning about space and perspective and I am so excited about finding different ways to describe a space with perspective and scale!!

Your work is breath taking. It reminds me of one of my favorite painters P. Rubens. You inspire me to keep practicing my painting everyday. I hope to become as good as you someday. Can you critique my work when you have any extra time?

Can I be an academic with a slightly different color palette but obsessed with form, light, and rendering? I came from a school of expressionism (ish) They didn't teach us any rules, only gave a lot of assignments. I did the assignments and then stuck myself in the libraries studying the Dutch, Flemish and Northern Italian masters. I think the only thing I learned was how to develop a weird color palette and that I have a true obsession for painting the figure in a genre setting with a surreal color twist. But i know I am missing so much. For example. In figure drawing/painting, we did not cover anatomy, only a stencil-like approach. I DO so desperately want to be a painter and do nothing else but paint, sleep, and write grants so that I can keep painting. I love to paint people and I love to paint allegories of today and compare them to previous times.
I love your work. It almost feel Rubenesque incarnated. He is one of my favorites for his color. It amazes me that while his country was in turmoil and war, he painted such brilliant colors depicting a sweeter mood. Must I go on? I really want to learn!

true. But luckily for me, painting is visual. It is impossible to see the work in person I know, but I respect what you have to say. I appreciate you sharing your time and making an effort to help me grow as a painter! I am so very thankful!
