I defiently respect anyone who can get up and perform to any audience. I cant imagine ever being able to do that, but for me personally i always think poetry reads better in my own head reading it alone rather than having it performed. Despite that though, i do think its incredible people have the balls to get up and perform something so personal

it's not that hard after the first couple times. i definitely think you should try to speak in front of a large group if you ever get the chance, it's wonderful

yep, maybe some people prefer it read out loud, but for me personally it always sounds better reading it in my head. I suppose its because i can read it at my own pace and pause and reflect on it
