[ It is nearing noon as Momo diligently takes notes on Midnight's lesson discussing the history behind costume making. Her eyes are sharp and mind awake. She is completely focused until the teacher slows down in her speech and the bell indicating lunch echoes in her head. For a moment Momo feels dazed, but quickly recovers. While organizing her desk before leaving, striving to be tidy as always, her thoughts wander to the lessons recently learned after the practical exam with Aizawa. ]
"Although we passed I still have much to learn. If my plan faltered at the time I doubt I could react in time to his movements to guarantee success."
[ Intelligent as she may have been, Momo knew thinking quickly on the fly is a weakness. A mere crack now it may soon grow larger. Momo's gaze travels to one of her fellow students: Tsuyu Asui. Images of her battle with Tokayami flash by that serve to remind her of how composed and calm she had been against Ectoplasm. Feeling she could learn greatly from her own classmate's experience Momo approached the other with an invitation. ]
"Greetings Asui-san. Would you care to have lunch together?"

/ tsuyu's attention is completely on midnight, even though this information doesn't exactly apply to her. she was listening attentively regardless, however, as she was a good student. for the most part only her ears were active, aside from jotting a few notes she feels are important down. however upon hearing the familiar ringing of the lunch bell, she lets a surprised ribbit escape her ears; she wasn't aware of what time it was. she quickly composed herself however, gathering her things together as she stands up and prepares to leave the classroom"that was interesting, miss kayama, ribbit."/ her formality gets the best of her as she addresses the pro hero with her last name. with that, she gives a small nod before proceeding down the hall, her large hands hanging down in front of her torso as always. the sudden arrival of her classmate however causes her to tilt her head and slow down in her footsteps, lifting her gaze up at the other girl. her finger goes to her chin at that offer; this was the first time momo had offered such. how could she say no?"please call me tsuyu."
"i'd love to. that's very kind of you, yaoyorozu-chan."

[ Momo reaches a hand to the bottom of her lip slightly embarrassed from the correction. It seems she is not the only one to have formalities take over. She makes sure to bury this feeling to prevent it from ever surfacing. A friendly smile is sported as the conversation continues. Eyes light up upon hearing Tsuyu accept the invitation. Both hands clasp together in excitement. ]
"Ah! My apologies Tsuyu-san. Wonderful! Thank you for accepting my invitation. It is very kind of you. Shall we be on our way? The cafeteria can become crowded for those who arrive late."
[ A polite gesture for Tsuyu to walk at her side is made. While calm on the surface, Momo can feel her heart begin to pound with a childish excitement. She did intend to inquire about the other's abilities, but there are butterflies fluttering vigorously inside her stomach. Seldom did these invitations come out of her mouth as her mind automatically followed a set schedule. Simply spending time with a classmate doing basic activities is fun despite not even arriving at the place in question yet. ]
"Tell me Tsuyu-san, what do you normally like to eat? Perhaps you are the type to look forward to the specials? I hear today the featured dish of the day is spicy curry."
"An exotic dish sounds appetizing. Do you not agree?"

/ the mistake was all-too common, so she was used to it. of course, that wouldnt stop her from making the correction, no matter how odd it was to not be addressed by her last name like everyone else. it just felt less formal and restrictive to her, especially with friends. her expression remained vacant as opposed to momo's, but she was still excited as well"yes, we shall."/ she responded bluntly, before accepting the gesture and moving to the taller girl's side. she didnt even mind the height difference; the only important part was the time they were going to spend together"i'm open to anything, really. but, that dish does sound good."

[ Her mind briefly wanders to the disastrous dinner in her youth when she was first serves a delicacy featuring a dish intentionally rotting. The thought alone sends a subtle shiver down her spine. Grey eyes narrow when the wide doors to the cafeteria come into view. From a small square for a window Momo is able to determine that there are still many unoccupied seats at tables. When turning to Tsuyu, those same pair of orbs suddenly begin to sparkle. ]
"If it is a rare treat then you should take advantage of the opportunity. Perhaps if I were to ask mother she could have the chefs prepare other exotic dishes for you and the others to try! For now we should work on the curry. It is likely going to be some time before we can receive our share."
[ Momo holds the door open for Tsuyu to enter. Immediately the quiet they once had in the halls is erased by a sea of idle chatter from students of varying classes. A cool, speedy breeze greets them causing goosebumps. She quietly enters the line and acquires a tray for both of them. To pass the time Momo brings up the topic she had in mind prior to the invitation while simultaneously adding small snacks to the surface of her tray. ]
"Tsuyu-san, may I ask you something?"
