Thanks a lot for the compliment! You seem a nice person, too!
Other anime I like ... let's see ... going a long way back though the years, I've watched, and loved, many anime involving mechas and robots, eg Mazinger, Mazinger Z, Jeeg Robot, Voltes V (one of my favourites), Daltanius, Daitarn 3, etc! All thanks to my two brothers, who made me watch what they liked! But, I've never complained, and all these anime still have a special place in my heart! There's nothing wrong to relive your childhood! Then there was Cyborg 009 (always sorry for the titles as they may vary due to the language, or to my own errors!), Devilman, Casshern, Starblazers, Captain Harlock, Ken Shiro, Yatterman, ... shall I continue?! But, don't be tricked ... I also liked watching girlie things, you know, like Candy Candy, Georgie, Lady Oscar, and anything romantic, or that could make me shed a tear!
Now, with the excuse of having children, and having to watch cartoons because of them, I'm loving watching series such as The Last Airbender, Inuyasha, Wolf Rain, etc. Even if my kids are still young, I'm having a lot of influence on them regarding this subject!
What about you?

Wait, i am a Dalek, so we're not known for "nice"...
I got started with Anime when i saw BOTP and Starblazers, and not long after that i got to see Original Casshan, Mazinger Z and Gundam...My favorite robots are Mazinger Z , Great Mazinger and Raideen, though i also like guys like Voltes V, Daitan 3 and Steel Jeeg...I really liked Hurricane Polymar and Tekkaman...
you can probably tell from the girls in my gallery. Later on i watched stuff like Space Cobra, Catseye, Hokuto No Ken, and Macross...Devilman was a fave, though i thought a lot of the shows that the studio that he came from were pretty bad looking, especially compared to the Tatsunoko studios! Loved Yatterman, Love the Dorombo Gang...did you see the live action movie?
I keep up with a lot of the new stuff, though through most of the 90s i'd lost interest. I watch a lot of comedies, like Lucky Star, Azumanga Daioh, an Haruhi Suzimiya...watching them was what convinced me to go to japan, and i still go...
No kids here,,,sigh...

Oh, you're so lucky to have been able to go to Japan! That's one of my mostly desired dreams, which, most probably, will never come true! :sigh: Although I'm not an expert, I just love the Japanese culture! Maybe, because I've grown up watching Japanese anime! I haven't had the opportunity of watching the Yatterman live action movie, yet, although I'll surely try to do so, some day! I've watched the live action movies of "Devilman" and "Casshern" though! I've also watched the series "Casshern Sins", which is awesome, even if the plot is very different from the original! I, too, have had an idle period during the last decade ... life isn't always that easy! But, as hard as life could still be, I'm loving my rediscovering the joy of watching new anime, and rewatching older ones! As to kids ... from experience, I know that everything happens at the right time! Never lose hope!

Japan...is like another planet. It's so different there, and things are so neat and clean, and i could talk about it for days! I will admit i fraked out the first night, because it was overwhelming...i was ok the next day, as i started exploring in earnest.the weirdest thing to me, was the way everyone is in their own little world, they don't look at you, they don't even look at anyone else...and there are so MANY of them! I never felt crowded though, and everyone was super nice to me.
I was crying when i had to go home, and i felt like IT was home...it felt so natural there. I think about it each and every day. I'm going back, yes i am...
I saw Casshern Sins, but i'm not a fan...the first half is very interesting, poses lots of questions...but then the second half ignores them all! I like the original best!
I still rewatch older anime. I was watching some Mazinger Z later episodes, and some Grendizer...The last new stuff i watched was Hetalia, a goofy comedy about countries!
Kids...i guess i have a bad idea about kids...i like the cute little kids, with their sweetness and charm, and i guess it's from watching too much tv...i always forget they aren't toys or pets! I remember playing with nieces and nephews, and watching anime and monster movies with them...

I think I would be left with the same opinion, and impression, of Japan if ever I'd be able to visit the country!
Regarding Casshern Sins, I agree that the first part was more interesting than the second ... I wished the ending had been somewhat different and not so vague! But, on in all, I've enjoyed watching it, the series being based on many questions about life, and why we're here, which are very similar to those I, sometimes, ask myself!
As to kids, I too have thought it would have been an easier task to raise them (perhaps because I've also watched too much tv, which mostly portrays obedience and sweetiness in kids, other than the accompanying mishaps!)! But, at the end, it's very rewarding, with all its ups and downs, and I'm nothing without them!

Well, it really was something! I want to try some new things when i return, definitely take more photos, and see other things.i was so surprised to see so many things in anime and manga were real...saw a 20 meter Gundam, a neighborhood festival,Maid cafes,Akihabara Cosplay, incredible toy stores, and unbelievable skylines. The people were very nice to me, and i saw things i never imagined, except in comics!
Casshan...they never said why Casshan's killing Luna destroyed the world, what the Ruin was, how Luna came back from the dead, and i found the story bleak and pointless. I guess Immortality is bad...but in that world, what was there to live for? There was nothing to do, nothing to build, and the planet looked dead. except for a few gardens, plant life was gone, and i guess the animals were mostly gone too. Gaining Luna's type of eternal life seemed to produce madness in her visitors, who before seemed desperate for life...
My guess is the robots ruled the world so long, it's simply entropy at work, rather than a sort of plague, and things are just wearing out naturally, and the technology to make more is lost. In a few more years , the Earth would be void of life, stark as the Moon...naah, i'll stick to the original.

I know it's late to thank you for your welcome, together with your compliments regarding my two only pics posted here, but it's never too late! I admit that after I've registered here, I only logged in once in order to try and post those two! I didn't even know that my postings had been successful! Afterwards, I've browsed Deviant Art without logging in or just clicking onto links in other sites! I'm always in a hurry! I'll try to post my other, humble pics as you have kindly suggested! Thanks a lot!
