Thank you so much Bear. We do have incredible imaginations, all of us, I believe...dreams are precious to me and I so love to sleep for that reason. Every day and every way I wish to see the beauty in the world and mind's eye.

BET?? it's a poker term, isn't it??
π: 0 β©: 1
goddessartist In reply to Vanillazuki [2009-09-30 13:26:09 +0000 UTC]
'You bet' means like 'sure thing'. Sorry. Have used that for years. I should have said 'thank you' and Many Blessings. So much lost in translation if one can't use one's voice.

NO PROBS!
I use software to translate what I do not understand. But I view it as tractuction: wager on a bet. And as my boyfriend plays poker, and he uses that word, I was a bit lost!

goddessartist In reply to Vanillazuki [2009-09-30 15:34:21 +0000 UTC]
Well I do absolutely love to play poker. I use 'you bet' quite often, now that I think about it. When someone says 'thank you', I'll say 'you bet' or 'you're welcome'. Think of the Who with the line 'you better, you better, you bet', which may illustrate what I mean a bit better. So are you French?

Vanillazuki In reply to goddessartist [2009-09-30 15:37:54 +0000 UTC]
And yes, I am French, I lived in Paris, but here I am in the suburbs! You play poker online? I prefer playing a real table. My boyfriend plays on PKR, you know?
Anyway, thank you for the translation, I learned something thanks to you!

Oh I would love to play at a real table and will sometime I think in the next few years. I used to play with my friends years ago and now play on my phone quite a bit. I like as well to sit at the quarter poker machines and play, but haven't done that in years. I love poker.
Je suis en partie français, et Irish et Cherokee. I don't speak much French however I took it about 28 years ago in college. I plan to visit France in the next few years so will work on that.
It was my pleasure - you bet! See?
Love to you Ophelie. I love that name. So beautiful.
Rebecca

My friends hold on HPT (parody of the European Poker Tour, except that H is the name of my cat Hermine!) If you have a Facebook, told me, there's pictures of the HPT.
What interesting backgrounds! I am Italian and French (I was born here)and Corsican...
My name comes from the poem by Arthur Raimbault, Ophelia. My mother taught at the college when she was 15. She swears has herself to call hes daughter Ophelia. But my brothers got really italian names (Luca & Lorenzo)
