Ha! That's funny - I had given music one last try (after a lifetime of being frustrated by it), and ultimately it became the stepping stone to what I'm now doing at DA! (I.e., "Okay, the bass isn't working out. Let's go back to something I know! (I.e., Photoshop.)" And then DA gave me a context in which to use it.)

The important thing is that we find mediums that suit us, that get least in the way of us living up to our artistic potentials and expressing/sharing ourselves. Frankly, I think it's rather nifty that ours are somewhat reversed!

I choose my titles carefully, to try to "direct" but not to "identify," so that my own feelings are there, but not overwhelming. I want the work to be interactive, for it to feel somewhat familiar to the viewer precisely because they're "filling in what I've left out."

So your interp isn't the same as mine, but it's similar, and that's ideal, as far as I'm concerned. You took my piece and made it a bit your own. That's win/win for both of us.

Hey, I saw your post about your guitar.

Just wanted to mention that I'm really just starting out too, and I've gotten the best help so far from a guitar class our community college put on at night (their "community education" program) that was something like $60 for about 2 months of classes - it really helped me understand what I was supposed to be doing starting out.

Aside from that you might also want to check out the book "Guitar for Dummies" - it's actually really good

You like Dancer in the Dark as well as Radiohead. I saw that film a few days ago. That and Schindler's List are the two most emotional films I've ever seen. That last scene when she's getting hanged. Painful stuff.
