I just saw some of your work on Resistance, nice job! I am a 3D Artist who would like to make games or work with a game developing company some day. I just gotta ask how did you work with those guys and what was it like?

Not sure what you mean by "how did you work with those guys?"
I had a desk and a monitor along with Vita Dev kits and a TV attached to it. From there I'd create color compositions and start setting light washes, post process triggers and values and kept iterating.
It was pretty fun - Nihilistic was a great studio to work at, some of the nicest people I've had the pleasure of being around. The hours were long, but the environment made it tolerable.

I guess my biggest question to ask is how did you get to work for them? Did you send out a resume to them? Did they contact you? How did it all start?

I saw they were hiring and since I had just left my previous job I sent an email. They emailed back and arranged for a phone-call, so we talked about it for an hour. Then they asked if I could show up in-person and we talked about what I did for a few hours and they gave me a quick overview of their tools.

Well, there's a lot more to the story and is less dry than it seems, but in the end I was picked up because I had the experience and the tech background to handle what they needed. Most importantly, I was available.

Then I guess I need to gain more experience for my portfolio or resume. I just graduated early this year with an associate's degree in 3d graphics and animation so I'm all new to this.

Keep working on that portfolio until you can look at your stuff and feel that it can fit in a game that's available for purchase
