hanging in there. the chicks are great to have around, always doing something cute or silly. and the silkies are so nice to pet too, they're so relaxed around people. they're so relaxing to have around.

yeah, they're about two and a half months old. three of the four silkies like being handled and messed with, the fourth has more head floof so it's harder for her to see so she doesn't like being picked up because it usually startles her a lot. the two Sebrights are a little more flightly (literally as well as figuratively) but they're still friendly and randomly fly up on me when they feel like it (sometimes even deciding my head is the perfect place to perch), ones a little more outgoing tho, that one will fly up on just about anyone's lap if they're outside with an open bag of dried mealworms or the garden mix treats by them and kiss up.

one of the silkies had me worried for a while, she was always wearing out more often than the rest and got walked over or something by one of the other chicks which caused her to get wryneck. luckily between putting her in an old aquarium with the most laid back of the other silkies to keep her company and giving her medicated chick feed and putting an electrolyte mix in her water that's cleared up, but she does have vision problems in at least one eye and her feet are a little deformed so she has minor balance issues (her back toe and extra toe line up with the front three instead of sticking out back) but she's learning to compensate. and the extra attention we've been giving her has pretty much turned her into a sweet little baby. of course, the fact the two little Sebrights also baby her for some reason (well, she was about the same size as them until she had her recent growth spurt and started catching up with the other silkies so that may have been part of it). she's a little behind the rest of the silkies, but she's really starting to catch up finally. she probably wouldn't have made it if she'd been shipped out from the hatchery instead of picked up tho, and even if she did make it she may have been culled because of all the issues she has. but as a pet she's pretty much perfect with her sweet temperament.

they are really a lot of fun, they like being around people (even the ones that don't like being handled like being near people and talked to), and silkies are so freaking soft and pettable and overall a lot more relaxed than many other chicken breeds. even the two little roosters who are pushier than all the rest are pretty laid back overall. I had chickens years back and even the calmest of them could be worked up for quite a while if something spooked them even a little. and the Sebrights we have now pretty much stay spooked until they're sure the silkies have been calm for a bit. I have a feeling if it was just Sebrights they'd be flighty for an hour after being spooked.

lol, someone who is butthurt over me calling them out on their art theft is taking this out of context as a stance on having multiple accounts in general and not a comment on the fact the person in question is just plain acting immature and trying to act like you're your own boyfriend is immature itself. they even linked to this exchange.

and I can say myself there are very valid reasons to have more than one account on a website if that website doesn't specifically say you cannot have multiple accounts.

they also think I happen to have the dA account KyuukiChan simply because I mentioned on tumblr I've used that username before (on sites where I couldn't use one of my main choices or for a period of time when I didn't want a pair of ex-friends of mine finding my accounts easily, altho that second reason became less of an issue when the more dangerous of those two ex-friends moved out of state). as if I'm the only person that has ever used that username anywhere online and no one else has ever used it in the history of ever.

Yeah there's nothing wrong with having multiple accounts. I know a few people who have other accounts as back ups. What's weird is when people start using them to pretend to be different people!  

As for that other stuff you mentioned, sadly there is an over abundant supply of dimwits in the world!

this person is trying damage control, but it's really not working. partially because she's now accusing me of spying on/cyberstalking her because I'm publicly refuting her claim she made almost 5 days before where she claims I own an inactive deviantAccount that I don't and that she had to have done a bunch of intentional searching for to find. which is something she's done in the past as well, googling the shit out of stuff to find private information on me and then threaten to make it public. all I do is watch what she says and deal with the bullshit she pulls to harass and slander me.

I've got a bunch of other entries in my journal on her past actions too. this bullshit has been going on for half a year since I tried to tell her copying from an artist who said they didn't want people using/copying their artwork is wrong and deleted their gallery because people weren't listening was bad and that falsely accusing other people of plagiarizing because they've tried to get her to understand plagiarizing is wrong will just make her look worse. I swear, if I had known she had a multi-year history of harassing people for trying to get her to stop her from plagiarizing and pulling other bullshit I would have gone about it much differently. (one of her past victims described her harassment as violent, to the point they now placate her by acting as if they're friends because that's the only way they could get her to stop.) best part is, she claims to be 25 yet still pulls that bullshit.

What a loser! What I don't understand about people who steal artwork and claim it as their own is why do it? It isn't just an insult to the original artist, it's more of an insult to the person who stole and claims it as their own. Why? Because its ridiculously pathetic that they can't even come up with a doodle they made themselves to claim as their own, they have to STEAL! I think part of it in her case is she's lazy and spoiled. she's bragged about the family she comes from being rich and called me a baby more than once for not being able to afford something I wanted on my own right when it came out. seriously, I'm a person with physical disabilities living in the real world, not some spoiled rich person who gets everything they want on a silver platter.

she wants acknowledgement as an artist but doesn't want to work for it and since she's pretty much had everything she wanted given to her she thinks she can just use other people's artwork however she wants even if it's wrong. her family has probably treated her such a way that she feels she's entitled and anyone who tells her otherwise is in the wrong too.

at various points I've also tried to give them pointers on how to improve (like frameworking stuff at least when they copy so they can at least learn from it instead of just eyeballing lines and making errors that obviously show that's what they've been doing) and they took it as a personal insult too. when they made this I made an offhand comment to someone else that if she had at least bothered to framework that beforehand it wouldn't have turned out as such an anatomical mess too and she took that as the highest insult possible rather than a fact.

I just think she's been basically taught she deserves to get her way and that anyone who does anything to stand in her way or point out her flaws needs to be pressured to recant and allow her to get her way.

the way she behaves I'm really surprised she doesn't have her own Encyclopedia Dramatica entry yet. she does get a mention on the PrincessElizabeth013 entry tho. since she really doesn't seem to understand the potential consequences of her actions or how if I had better income I could actually afford to sue her for harassment and slander and I've more than enough proof of her actions to assure I'd win. heck, if she wasn't in another country I could use my one uncle's connections as a former lawyer to find someone willing to take payment after I won the case. it's almost like she's completely unable to see that her actions are in the wrong, especially since she's flat out said her excuse for falsely accusing people of plagiarism when they called out her own real plagiarism was that it was perfectly justified because it made them understand what it feels like to be accused of it.

doing well. my dad got me Animal Crossing New Leaf as an early Christmas present and I'm enjoying that, plus he's going to replace the TV of mine he tossed soon so I can have my gaming systems set up near the kotatsu, and on top of that my niece is going to start moving in tomorrow. the only real bother right now is the fact my computer is having some issues, but it's an issue multiple people seem to be having with the latest version of flash player and I managed to make it less of a pain than it originally was. a certain someone is making a minor annoyance of herself too, but the whole computer issue is more of a fuss than she is, and that's only an inconvenience at best especially given that the desktop is still working perfectly and doesn't have the issue with flash the laptop is having.

it's not affecting everyone, but it's affecting enough people I've seen multiple people mentioning it. it seems after they fixed an issue with it in Windows 8 some Windows 7 users (and maybe some of the other older OSes) are having issues with it. my desktop is Windows 8 so that's fine.
