Oh well. But the question is -
How do you add muscles/do lighting and contrast? Because that just ESCAPES ME.
I'm just randomly adding muscles.
And randomly making some parts lighter than others, which makes no sense

Uh... it just takes practice... a lot of practice... I've been practicing non-stop for about a year and a half. @__@;; like my sketchbook is literally goes with me almost everywhere... I listen better when I'm drawing too... like that one sketch of the girl with yellow eyes I just submitted; I did that in church today. xD

so yeah. anatomy is hard. You just need to study everybody else's art and stuff in real-life.

Shading also takes practice... and really, you just need to think about where the light is coming from, and think about it a bit logically. Things that are blocked from the light are darker. Things farther away from the light will slowly become darker, while things closer will slowly become lighter. it also depends on the material... Skin doesn't reflect a lot, so it has less and very smooth shadows and highlights, that aren't very different from the original tone, while objects that are metal have very dramatic and sharper shadows and highlights...

again it's all practice.

Aah, I see xD Well, I'm relatively happy with my sketch of
Neriae (the Royal Girl Peo I also had you draw x3) but I'm
afraid that after I add color, I'm totally going to screw it
up. I've only colored the gold trimmings on her cloak and the
metal claspings on her head/hooves because I'm terrified xD

I'll keep that advice in mind @__@ Yee, so many things to
remember. Good thing I'm a REALLY logical thinker. I took a
art class on Shading in the summer once, I hope that comes
into handy for this x33

Hopefully I'll have my full-color sketch up in a few days
so you can see it and rate it Except I never did my summer
reading homework yet and school begins in two days *cough*
