It was a quiet evening. She lays down in her hammock, sketchbook at hand and ice tea sweating on the dusty veranda railing. She smiles at the little scribbles across the pages. Never seen by others. Sadly, the girl was always too shy to show her work. Because of timidness, she didn't want to flaunt around such intimate pictures. Because she lacked confidence she believed they weren't good enough. But she longed for her inner thoughts portrayed by wisps of color and line to be praised by someone. So she made them constanly, to the point where her fingers stiffened around the pencil at the end of the day. Her eyes strained with delicate detail. Even in the dead of the night with a faint yellow light as her company she drew with inspiration.
With newfound pride she wanted to keep going on.
However, like the changing leaves, she too was ready to take the fall. Flipping through the book revealed her most inner desire. A moving confession.
This. This was it. Beaming and glowing pink with excited embarassment she whispers in the pages, nose tapping in the spine of the sketchbook.
"Just watch. With this...Senpai will finally notice me."
