Thanks so much for the comment and the fav on the still vase 1 shot!!!

Light source was one 500w hotlight about 6 feet to the left of the vase directed toward the vase and the camera. The vase was sitting about 6 feet in front of the backdrop. Having good separation between the object and the backdrop and stopping down the lens to f8 or more gives a nice black background with very little detail in it.
