Drawing is a journey, and it sounds like you enjoy the journey. You will never get to a point where you feel like you've completed the journey, so do your best...to just enjoy. Drawing from life will give you the best skills. It doesn't mean you have to draw realistic portraits, but draw instead what you see. Just put it down, just as if you were writing a paragraph in your own words.
To anyone who is beginning to draw (or stuck with drawing) I recommend this book: www.amazon.com/Drawing-Sacred-…
Good luck!

Hi Muffin-Machine. Thanks for the advice, appreciate it
Problem is I have ideas of what I want to draw, just that I lack experience and mainly skill.
And to tackle this is what I am struggling with, where to begin to tackle this issue. Obviously I understand it will take me years to get to a point where I might think OK I have improved and also like you say my journey will be continuous journey. Just what start with or what are the basics/fundamentals I should look at to start off.
For example, understand how to draw a human head from any angle, or gestures, torsos, how to make it less realistic, how to exaggerate, etc.
Plus there are so many ways and tutorials on youtube for example that show you how to do the same thing, and figuring out which one i find easier.
Dont get me wrong, I am enjoying it but just a bit of frustration as it seems to be too much of everything if you get what I mean.

That's why I recommend "drawing as a sacred activity" because it doesn't push any type of technical methods on the learner, but instead it helped me make the connection between my eye and my hand. It's something that seems like it should be simple, but there is a lot to get in the way.
It's hard to say what else to recommend as you have no work posted. Hard to say why type of style you're going for.

HI sorry for the late reply.
Thanks for your advice and the recommendation. Plan to get it hopefully soon.
I have just uploaded my first. So you can hopefully get some idea of my level. Though I wouldn't say I am confident enough in drawing this character in poses and different angles, or even the rest of the body probably lol.
But thanks for replying to me as much as you have as it helps my motivation.

I have sort of started. Though I completed one which mainly has me practicing drawing the basic skeleton, or circles, cylinders etc.

Good, you should draw every day if you want to improve. But it's important to practice the right things as well. Hard to say what that is and it takes honesty to look at your work, see what's lacking and determine the steps to take next. Sketch books help you track that progress, even if the progress is very slow.
What method are you using to capture your artwork onto the computer?

Sorry do you mean how I put it online?
If so I just took a picture with my phone.
Do you think then , that I should try draw the image in my head even though it's likely it might not turn out how I want, to figure out areas I need to improve in? Because I would say I don't try to draw many things because I know it won't turn out how I want it to.

Yes, I was curious about whether you were scanning/photographing the images.
Failure is your friend when it comes to drawing. The only way to improve is to know where you need to improve.

Think my sisters beautiful don't you? I'd be careful if I were you, especially where dragons tread. Thanks for the fave, Aegon Targaryen.

That's cool. Really liked it. Just joined deviant and art pretty much as a hobby and was looking for ones that are inspiring and sort of how I would like to draw in the future as basically my level atm is 0 lol. Just really liked it.

Thanks!
Oh, yes, there's 'joined this week' so welcome!
Nobody is lvl 0, and nobody is super overpowered : )
Your own style is own way, and if you fell 'this isn't THAT what I really want to show' practise more, be inspired, be original, work hard and enjoy it!
Good luck!
