Well... The distrobution of resources really is the root of all government. When you really think about it, that's all a government does...
I believe that a truly democratic organization (or more accurately group of organizations) in control of all resources would eliminate the need for any government. To that end I think unions are the key. But I'm not talking about your local AFL-CIO, I think these unions have become somewhat corrupt. I think that unions organized and controlled completely by workers in small groups (only small groups can remain democratic) which thus control the means of production are really the key to democratic organization, a classless society, and ultimately (eventually) true communism (in the literal/economic, and not political sense).
As far as no laws... I'm not sure that's really true. Anarchy means no government or hierarcic authority. So far as laws are dirived from that, yes... but there are certain standards which must be cooperatively agreed upon for society itself to exist. I believe there is only one law: No one shall infringe on another's right to self-determination, so far as he does not infringe on another's rights. This may be an oversimplification, but I think it expresses the idea...

Most anarchists believe that authority and class are naturally co-existant. So long as authority over others exists, so will classes. It was the idea of a classless society that drew me first to communism, and it's the idea of equality and freedom that drew me to anarchism... but more than that it was a recognition that communism, as I had seen it, didn't work.

You'd make a great anarchist. You see, the key difference between anarchists and Communists is that Anarchists believe that the people should control the means of production through some democratic or cooperative process. Communists believe that a chosen beureaucrat should run everything... which isn't really the people owning the means of production.
