I've found that a lot of people here in the U.S. don't know much their
own country, much less anyone else's.
I post prayer updates about different countries. Part of the reason is to raise
awareness about what's going on in the rest of the world.
Recently I’ve started a personal initiative; if I notice someone on DA
is from another country, If I've done their country I let them know.
It’s my way of letting them know that others are thinking about their home.

I'm not exactly sure how the process goes for setting up myself. But I know most people set up a Paypal account first. Then the put together a posting that shows their prices for lineart, color, shade, and even get as intricate as single character, double character, groups, and backgrounds. You'd have to just play it how you feel your artwork costs. Next comes with the customers, try doing payments (before and after) so that your customer pays on time, yet you also need to finish the work on time. And then just keep a good name by being fair and an artist that actually finishes their commissions lol.
