I'm one of the few ppl that think the 944 is the best looking Porsche design -- well of course that doesn't say I would say no to a black Carrera 4 or a metallic Cayman... Or a 356

Well... more modern anyway. I'm more impressed when I spot a 356 in real life than a 911. I think both cars are about equally elegant, while the 356 is more of a reminisce of pioneer times. But the 911 is more "sunglasses" cool indeed.
Looking cool with sunglasses might be harder in the 356, unless you've got round sunglasses of course
