Hey! Just saw your comment "Wow how did you get the canvas look on a digital painting? What program did you accomplish this with? I like this painting a lot good job!" on someone's painting. and since he didn't reply to it and since you're also a Metal head i'll tell you! It's called a texture. If you Google for example "Paper texture", or "canvas texture" even stone, brick, wall, ground, rock, ..anything really you'll get a bunch of results. overlay the texture and the painting on two separate layers. and then change the blending options near the layers tab (On photoshop/a few other programs too). try out all of them. "Multiply" "Darken" "Overlay" usually does the job. each have a different visual impact. remember textures are often used in paintings to add value. for example if you painted a mountain you can use rock and tree textures to have it more chunky and populated. There are plenty of tutorials on using textures. I think thanks everything . Good luck!
