I've been 1 year to rio for work (though I hardly learned any portuguese working with germans and english speaking brasilians)

Ow that is nice, did you like Rio?

I know that sometimes when you travel by work you almost don't see the beautiful of this places, just buildings.

ahahaha I have a friend in German, and we just speak in english, that's why i guess that will be easy.

yes, Rio was nice. And just like you said - working abroad one can easily work a few hours longer because you don't know anyone and building up relationships is not so easy when you hardly speak the local language.
been to iguaçu and itaipu,sao paulo... visited the corcovado and the pào de açucar several times and enjoyed having a walk along the beach on weekend evenings, having a caipi... it was really nice and i enjoyed it a lot!

where do you live? somewhere nearby Rio or far away? haven't been there i years and that's a real pity.
