Thank you! Please excuse the late reply, as i haven't been on deviant art that much lately.
I'm in mid-production on Book 02, and we've just launched a Kickstarter Campaign if you'd like to see a preview.

Monsieur Paquette!!!
Great to hear from you man! Excuse this tardy reply. I set up this page back in the fall, then just forgot about it. Thanks for checking out my stuff. I've been following your many jetset adventures on facebook.
I am still based in Toronto, although have been absentee from the conventions over the last few years. However, i'm working on a new project now - called The Voyageur - so will be probably be hitting at least T.O. and the NYC shows next year. I hope to run in to you. As well, i'd love to show you a preview of this book when it's complete. It's a historical narrative based on the voyages of Samuel de Champlain and his foundation of the Quebec colony. I think only a fellow Canadian would truly appreciate it
Question - i've noticed you made the transition to Manga studio. How are you finding it? Is the brush rendering that much smoother than photoshop? EXPLAIN!

Awesome!
Yeah Manga 5 is day and night from Photoshop. i still feel Ps is better at manipulation (selecting, scaling , moving , rotating shit around) but MS5 will make you Mark Farmer if you wish!
I did'nt imagine you as a digital sort of guy, you have so much gritty energetic inks.
See you around bro-

Hey Yannick,
Question for you - i'm applying for an Ontario author's tour grant, which is basically a means of funding travel expenses to promote your book. I'm a little out of touch with the convention circuit, so i was wondering if you could make some suggestions of which ones are best to focus on, in either the US or Canada. I'm including a link if you want to check it out. It's a historical narrative, but definitely has more of a commercial feel than indy. Would love your opinion.

(note - i'm still in the colouring process, so the last few scenes are still b n w)
As well - if i may shamelessly ask - if you dig what you see, and would like to offer a catchy blurb, it would be much appreciated
Thanks!
-Nick

DUDE!!
I'm almost never on DVA, I just found out your wrote.
Your stuff look FANTASTIC, you have became a legit master of Clair Obscure!
As far as convention goes, I don't know. Calgary is always good for business. NYCC is great for exposure certainly. YOu should come back to FANExpo of course.
