I've always wanted to read Parasyte but never had the chance to. Have you read or heard of Island? I think you would really like it. Right now I'm on a huge Tezuka kick, the guy was an absolute genius. I'm starting to get into Black Jack now, but I recommend MW, it's some of his darker stuff.

A lot of what you've listed I've never read, but I know I wanted to get Blade of the Immortal and Battle Angel Alita. I love older stuff so much. I'm such a nostalgia whore.

Oh god, I know. I used to dread the art-style and etc. Btw have you read any of the Jojo's series? I really like Steel Ball Run.

Island is actually a 7 volume Manwa, and it's incredible. It's old and out of print, so it's hard to find. I want it so bad now that I think about it! You should check out MW if you can, dunno where to find it though. I can't read manga online, at least manga that I care about, I have to own it. Except One Piece because I hate the official translations.

I haven't read Jojo's but it's on my list, I love the art style. I'm really attracted to obscure and unique looking art. There was this anime on Monday nights (tonight!!) at 10pm on SciFi channel I think, and the art style was amazing, it's so disassociated looking. You should check it out! It's called Requiem for the Darkness. I refuse to continue watching it because I want to own it!

Aha! I think I found Island on mangafox. xD God bless you, every manga artist must love you. I wish I could own all the mangas I love but most of them aren't published in the U.S. or other lame excuses. Though I have bought a lot of mangas after I read it online or vice versa.

Eh, I'm just really passionate about the things that I love. And as much as I hate materialism and money, buying new clothes, books, and manga makes me happy lol Someday I'm going to have a bookshelf full of manga and then my kids can read it all lol.

I think about that too. I have boxes of comics I use to collect and wanted to pass them all down, but what if my kids are into sports or something. The absurdity of life lol

I have watched One Piece when I was younger and loved it but I never got around to reading it yet. I have a lot of favorite mangas. (I also prefer manga over anime)

I think I've consistently loved Blade of the Immortal. Lately I've been reading Bakuman, Battle Angel Alita, Arakawa Under a Bridge, Zetman, and Usagi Drop. I liked Parasyte alot but I think that creeps everyone out. xD I have read a lot and like/love a lot. So no worries.
