"Surely your boss knows that we are already..." Chun-Yan couldn't place a good word for their relationship. Sister, maybe, but as far as she knew, that term wouldn't be used for a long time. "Familiar with eachother? Why not try someone new?"

Conversation would be a bit difficult, certainly, but as long as she wouldn't bring up the delicate matter of uniting with the mainland, she was sure they would get along fine.
"Ah! Li-Ho!" she greeted in return. She noticed how he brought his fingers to his forehead; he did so whenever something annoyed him. "Is it too loud here? We may go to another, quieter location, if you like."
