hey man... the materials I use came with bryce... one is under glass(aqua glass) and the other is under simple and fast(white metal) and I gave the enviroment a white backdrop... hope that helps

I use 3dsmax. I used cinema4d on some of my earlier pieces.
I dont have a problem with abstract in general. but 3d abstract has been done so many times it gets a bit boring.
