# About me

I am a beadspriter from SoCal. I started with beadsprites in early 2012 because I wanted a hobby where I would make something. Very quickly I found myself getting a great deal of enjoyment out of it and kept wanting to make bigger and more detailed sprites.

I do take commissions, if you are interested feel free to message me at reroots.store@gmail.com

If you like my stuff please check out my facebook page and give me a like :D I update my facebook as I go with sprites, so you'll see a lot more activity there.

I was sitting around and I started thinking about Street Fighter and my thoughts turned to some Cammy then I was thinking about a Cammy theme then I began to think about rhythm games (and how much fun it would be to tap around to her theme) and then I wondered what Reroots was up to! I don't see much from you on dA or facebook so don't forget that some of us sprite/fighter/rhythm game fans look forward to your every move!

Thank you. Β I haven't been doing as much as far as art goes since I got my new job. Β It tends to consume me, but I have a bit of a backlog of photos to upload soon.Β

I've been trying to stay recent with stuff on instagram and facebook. Β I'm usually working 6 days a week and on my day off I just try to get chores around the house done. Β

Love your art man. Where do you get your equipment? (Beads, boards ect)

I buy most of my materials from Perler's website. For color and shade variation I buy from an ebay user callahan13.

I really love your work. Beads was an excellent choice for doing sprite work since it pretty much makes it look like a living sprite. I hope you one day do a tutorial on you make one. Like what programs you use, how you apply the program to the board, etc. That would be awesome. I'd love to make one of these at home just to take up time. Love your work.

I've had a few requests to do a tutorial, so I think I will try and make one. I don't have a good camera for something like that, but I may be able to borrow one.

Razberryclownsac [2013-01-26 02:59:52 +0000 UTC]

So are Hesse on boards when you're done, or do they come off and it's just the beads together? Dumb question, I know

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

reroots In reply to Razberryclownsac [2013-01-26 03:07:30 +0000 UTC]

I use painters tape to hold the beads together and take them off the boards before I iron them. Once they are ironed the whole piece stays together. Some people iron the beads directly on the boards, but I don't do that because it can damage the boards and cause problems with warping in large projects.

typetenchi In reply to reroots [2013-01-30 10:09:34 +0000 UTC]

What exactly are those boards? Are they like peg boards to hold the beads in place or something?

Hi , i love ur beads vids, i got a question i starting doing beads sprites myself, do you got a program or something toο»Ώ help you figuring out how many beads will you use in a big project, (like the dictator one). That would help a lot, i cant do big ones because i dont know the bead count

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

reroots In reply to nininopunk [2013-01-26 02:10:53 +0000 UTC]

I use GIMP for everything. I usually just zoom in on the sprite and put a 29x29 grid to mark where the boards will be and go from there. There is a tool you can use in GIMP called histogram that will let you know total pixel count and even break it down by color using the color select tool.

How much do you charge for a sprite? Obviously the bigger the sprite the bigger the cost?

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

reroots In reply to OzZnfruitloops [2013-01-26 02:11:57 +0000 UTC]

For commissions I always need to take a look at a sprite first. Price depends on how large it is, and also complexity/how long it will take to complete. If you have anything in mind please feel free to email me.
