It's just Tatsumi Port! The Dark Hour is only experienced by the inhabitants of that island, because of the circumstances surrounding it.

Hello there. I was thinking about creating a Persona 3 OC based on me. But there are several problems.
1) I don't know what it takes to become a persona user. Do you just have to be able to experience the dark hour or does some sort of tragedy have to happen.
2) Because I was born on the 28th I have 2 birth cards, specifically the magician and the wheel of fortune.

Oh, ah. Hello!!

As far as I remember, being able to experience the Dark Hour is the basis of what you need. That only says you have the potential to become a persona user in P3's continuity. You also need an Evoker of some kind. Those are, I think manufactured specifically by the Kirijo group, so getting one would require that you join SEES and get one from Mitsuru, or have a connection to the Kirijo group. After that, it's specifically a matter of using your evoker to remind yourself that you're on the verge of dying at any time.

As for an arcana, there's explanations on how character arcana work on the SMT wiki, but I tend to use This instead. Because keywords applied to a character's storyline are a lot easier to use than personality or story beats, like the wiki explains the arcana.

I have a question: When designing a Persona OC (both the User and their Persona) how do you determine the Arcana they are associated with?

I'm asking because I'm trying to base a character off of myself (as I normally do) and so far The Hermit, The Lovers, and The High Priestess are Arcana I can relate with.

when designing persona users, I design the character first, and figure out their basic backstory/personality!

then i work on their persona, so i can find a mythological creature/god that fits with their story!
the arcana comes last for me. since they're so vague, you can easily see what themes you have with your character and stick whichever arcana you think matches the most.

when aiming at an arcana for characters, I usually pay more attention to the reversed meanings, since they're usually the more negative points. I make it a character arc to move my character's story and themes from the reversed meaning to the upright meaning!

I don't necessarily do physical copies, no, haha.
I do however, provide my clients with high resolution versions of their pieces! If asked, I can also prepare said piece for printing!

Oh, of course! There aren't really any special requirements to joining familias at chargen, but as far as Kaguya, the 'potential' she sees in people is a bit of a macguffin I offered up to familia members to use, especially if they have personal plots or want to focus on getting their muses to high levels very quickly! That and hopefully get an idea or three working, hopefully!

Though! Most people who ask to join Kaguya's family need a reading from her first, which they can easily schedule for later if she's busy at the time they ask! ( Kaguya herself is very laid back, so she wouldn't be opposed to soeone asking s long as she's not busy at the time! As far as hearing about her, Kaguya spends a lot of time in dungeon, and members tend to rise to higher levels pretty quickly! Your muse may have seen her around or heard rumors, possibly?
