unfortunately, most artists including japanese artists have a no repost rule. it makes little difference if you provide credit or not, artists want to know where their art is posted and it can be very discouraging for them to see their art being posted by others without permission. many of them have commissions or merchandise that they sell to make money, so they need viewers to only see the original post. also, most deviantart groups only accept art you made yourself and people join to see that art, including me. submitting the art to a group gets it more attention that the artist won't receive and most people won't read the description to see that you didn't make it (i almost didn't myself!) the best way to support the original creator is to share their original post.
once a long time ago i did the same thing you are doing with art. i reposted a story from a writer i liked to share it. they found my repost and were very upset about me stealing and reposting their story without their permission and they asked me to delete it. as an artist myself now, i understand how they felt. please consider only posting art that you made on deviantart or any other website where you can post art.
