Thank you. I think Huntress Wizard would definitely be ice. She's a recluse, and already given to sadness as a consequence of her magic. She was unable to reconnect with the Spirit of the Forest, or commit to a relationship with Finn (until "The Wild Hunt," maybe? Speaking of FRUSTRATION...). Otherwise, she does not seem prone to excesses of emotions. Even when fighting she seems to remain cool and collected; that and the fact that she's some kind of tree person probably rules out fire as her element.

"Huntress Blizzard." Perfect. Though I agree it may be more subject to geographic location than temperament, I'm not entirely sure where HW's house is in relation to the Ice Kingdom. I don't think it's too much of a stretch, though. All those foxes live in the woods somewhere, and they ended up in the Ice Kingdom.

You're welcome. Pardon me for not saying something to you first; I just thought your "Ozriel" comic looked interesting and I wanted to look at it later.

Hey man, thanks again for that quote and advice! I'm just now looking at your profile and you make some nice art. I'll be watching any more pieces you might do!

My thanks for the watch and the compliment, but, ah! How embarrassing. I haven't finished a piece in a year, at least. Not like I don't have excuses; studying electrical engineering here at Georgia Tech takes its toll on my time and sanity. Also, I'm writing a fantasy novel, a snippet of which is in my gallery. I finished the first draft a few weeks ago, too. Anyway, thank you. It's been a pleasure.

Hey, you remember back when you complained about steampunk literature conversation?
I looked up those books in my local library. They actually have them! Well, most of them. The Mieville's and The Windup Girl. I'll probably read one of them over winter break.

Your welcome. Yeah, D&D is awesome. What game other than a table-top rpg has such limitless customizability? Mad props, indeed.

It's kind of like what they did before there were RPG video games. You and a few other guys each create a character using different options like your race, your class, and so on. One player, the Dungeon Master, is the guy running the show. He tells you what's happening, he controls the monsters, and sets up the story for you to roleplay in. All the player characters get dropped into a situation, roleplay (or fight) through it, and generally just go around having adventures. You know, like exploring dungeons and slaying dragons.
If you've got a good DM, it's a ton of fun. I wholeheartedly recommend you give it a try.

the DM i'm pretty sure would be my english teacher, he eems like a cool guy.
is there a reason why there is no girls in the club?

D&D falls into the whole "nerd culture" thing, and that's just always been more of a boys club from day one. I certainly hope that wouldn't make you uncomfortable. I'm running a game these days, and one of my players is a girl whose never played before. According to her she's having a great time. There's no reason a girl can't get into it.

Sweet so the guys won't think I'm dumb? I don't think I'll fit in like I don't play video games really or do anyhting nerdy.

Dumb? Why, no! Not at all! In my experience, D&D nerds tend to be really nice guys. What's more, there's so few girls into this stuff they'll think your awesome just because you don't think they're lame. I'm sure you'll fit in just fine.

No, GIMP. I used to hand draw and ink pictures, but then I realized it was easier (and looked better) to just do them completely digital.
I hope you aren't trying to tell me that they LOOK like they were drawn in MS paint. XD

FairieDustaids In reply to stoneman123 [2011-05-24 20:20:43 +0000 UTC]
They kinda do. You use a tablet? I couldn't draw at all without mine. Anyway do you use the pencil setting or the paint brush setting?
π: 0 β©: 1
stoneman123 In reply to FairieDustaids [2011-05-24 20:27:07 +0000 UTC]
I can't afford (or am not willing to invest in) a tablet, sadly. I think I do okay for using a mouse. And yeah, I use the pencil more often. I'm afraid I'll draw something with the paint brush, and then all the noise and crap around the line edges won't want to color right and...you know. You think the paintbrush would help? I might could try and mess around with it some more. I kinda learn by trial and error.

FairieDustaids In reply to stoneman123 [2011-05-24 20:29:49 +0000 UTC]
Ya that might help. I draw on gimp more like it's blue prints to a painting. In my scraps I have a naked chick missing an arm. Looks pretty good. Could never to that with a pencil.
The lack of tablet is why it's so scratchy then. And you do really well for using a mouse.

Alright, I might could give it a try. Thanks for the tip! Now I just have to think of something worth trying it on...

Draw a penguin covered in blood, title it what's black and white and red all over.
