A long, long, (long) time ago, I discovered some absolutely fanatastic Snape art. I'm talking best-I've-ever-seen-ever art. It was about 5 years ago.
The Artist signed her name as Snapples. I was recently trying to find her fabulous artwork again, and stumbled upon your LJ. While your art style is so vastly different from her's, I was wondering if somehow you could possibly be the same person.
Her artwork was more realistic/painterly, with hardly no lineart. It was beautiful. Like I said, your styles are different, but artists change styles all the time, so I'm not ruling this out.

Oh, I do love me the lineart, so I highly doubt it, sorry. My more realistic Snape art was all done with a ballpoint pen, not really very "painterly" at all. :/
If you could describe more about what was going on in the image you remember, I might be able to help you out more, having looked at a fair amount of Snape art myself, though!

You're welcome! I think this is actually my favorite interpretation of a vodyanoi I've seen. His face is very expressive, and I like that - they've got a lot of personality in the books.

Wow, thanks! I don't really know if I made him look grumpy enough (you ever notice that almost all the vodyanoi in the books are pretty grumpy?), but his face certainly looks like it *could* get grumpy. He must be happy cuz he's thinking of lunch (hence the duckie ^_^ )
