I like there, Hiroshima, a beautiful and peace city, though it is not a large city, I think^_^

Oh nice! Did you see the hiroshima dome that got bombed during WWII? It's super-famous

I'm a graduate student working on getting her Master in Teaching XD I am student teaching at a middle school, and so far it's been very fun!

Yes, I did visit the hiroshima dome. It is peace there. Many students and tourist visited there where as you said is super-famous.

Yes, I still work on translating veganism stuff into Chinese for my website with some friends.

I have a question. In Chinese, 素食（素）is vegan, right? Or is it both vegetarian and vegan? I saw the character　素 at a vegan restaurant, so I assume that's what it means, but I wanted to ask an actual native person to know what it actually means XD

(I'm thankful that I'm japanese so I can actually read some chinese!)

Actually in Chinese, 素食 is a general term for vegetarian/vegan. As vegan/vegetarian is mainly used in western countries. But vegan is now translated as 純素。But, traditionally, there is only vegan restaurant in Chinese. So, when you go to a 素食restaurant, it serves mainly vegan food!!

Oooh I see. 純素 is a cool way to put it; it makes sense. Nod Nod Nod Nod Nod Nod Nod Really? There are no vegetarian restaurants? That's cool that there are only vegan restaurants! Aww Aww Aww Aww Aww Aww Aww That's good to remember, because I did go to a vegan restaurant and it says 素, so I assumed it meant "vegan". XD

Hehe, not like the western cuisine, Chinese food seldom use milk, so normally, the 素食 stands for vegan food. But, right now, some of the 素食 made of egg or milk. However, traditional 素食餐廳，always only sell vegan food.
