... her earliest dreams were to be a writer, a musician, an artist, and an animal carer (all of which, coincidentally, she already is and always was) -- not especially fitting dreams for a little girl from a working class background and growing up on the east coast of Australia -- bush baby -- since then, she has spent much quality time in Dublin, Paris, London, Sweden, and most recently the States -- her life's journey has so-far included severe post traumatic stress disorder, amongst other injuries, that she has survived, caused by having been a victim of serious crimes twice-over -- her immediate goal is to be as confident as some of the best people she has met through her world travels -- which continue right now -- she is a musician since toddlerhood (guitarist, flautist, and pianist, songwriter and composer since early childhood) -- and her current work is as a writer -- she is also a photographer, has won photographic (as well as writing) competitions and has been published on the NG website, and she sells her nature photography as well as erotica -- she is also a jewelry designer, handcrafts and sells her one-of-a-kind wire-wrapped jewellery creations -- she also enjoys sketching, painting, sculpting, designing and sewing, and creating art in all mediums -- her lifelong lack of confidence is just beginning to assuage enough for her to dare to call her creativity *her artworks* ...# Comments

You haven't upset me? The only thing that is slightly upsetting to me is talking about things like shootings (obviously. Coincidentally, "settle down" is not an appropriate comment when someone just explains to you they have been a victim of crimes) - but now you have an answer to your questions on my header's quote - to which you wanted to keep asking!

Yes, that's true ... but fear can also prevent people from doing anything -- things that they should take the courage to do -- and that might be worse, and happens more often ...

Yes ... and we can be mindful of both possibilities ... when one has survived traumas, one can fall into either, I suppose ... but the failure of frozen inaction is more common, no?

ΒΏ I didn't say fear is not dangerous. ΒΏI should say something like "fear is not danger"? But that is my exact quote!

No, that was not exactly what I meant. Why have you seized on this quote by me, I wonder? Which was something I really said inside a larger conversation. I know I don't owe you an explanation, but I'm glad to explain it -- but at least please get my quote right! I said "fear is not danger" in response to someone saying to me that *pain is not harm* -- and I said, "fear is not danger," and had a sudden illumination about my ptsd that I've suffered for 20 years since I was trapped in a mass shooting for five hours. The thing is, we live or lives in so much constant fear that is only produced by our own worries and is not actually danger that is present. So this little quote of myself is a reminder to me of that conversation, and a reminder to myself that my anxiety disorders and symptoms that debilitate me sometimes are not anything but nightmares that I should not actually consider real present dangers ... I'm sorry if my quote with no context has upset you, because you interpreted it in a different way, which is an interesting construct, too.

P.S. Yes, there are nude photographs of me on the internet, and in published fetish/art magazines in hardcopy, too ... and some of these photos are for sale now ... and I've had some beautiful and good experiences, and some not-so-good, as usual ... and/but, as usual, just like before, I'm still at a place in my thoughts, in my mind and in my heart, where I don't know whether I want to continue to explore and express and develop my artistic side, or just worry too-much about narrower people's judgments and opinions, again, as usual ...

And it's my sister's birthday, too ... Happy Birthday, Darling, always, always ... I miss my sister, so, so much β¦ the more years pass, the more she is missed by us all, and the more she should be doing, living her life ... it might feel more resolved β not resolved, but respected and corrected, a little, at least β if the authorities cared to keep murderers in jail ...

I'm going to thank you for adding my Baader-Meinhof Journal entry to your Fav's, even though I suspect your finger hit the Fav button instead of the Delete button by mistake.

No, I didn't intend to hit the Delete button -- I intended to hit the Favorite button, indeed ... I didn't know this name, Baader-Meinhof phenomena and occurrences ... but, yes, I've thought about this, a lot, too -- I don't know that you'd agree whether it's the same in detail -- but, related to the way our minds work, specifically *what* we notice, *what* we focus on ... this is relevant to my work, research and writing, too ...

mrhungry56 In reply to velvetlea [2015-02-28 02:56:40 +0000 UTC]
The name is, most likely, one that became established locally here and has just caught on in one particular newspaper. It's not some official name for the occurrence by any means. I tend to agree with you that you are more likely to "notice" something you just learned about.
Now that you've verified that your Fav was intentional, I'll thank you again, and for your comment, too.
