Nowadays, my art tends more towards poetry and prose, but I still dabble in sketches or photography when the mood strikes me. Pencil and ink are my preferred mediums, whether the strokes build stories through words or shadings.For now, my intent is mostly to browse and appreciate the wonder and beauty of others' deviations, so I apologize for the sparse profile. But eventually, I may be persuaded to submit my own attempts at expression. We'll see.

My muse is an enigmatic, fictional being who sometimes takes the shape of a woman, other times the shape of a nymph or fairy, who dictates my creative genius (or lack thereof) according to her whims. Sometimes she won't leave me alone, and other times I'm left bereft for days or weeks, longing for inspiration or means of expression. Altogether impossible and irrational and frustrating and (occasionally) glorious, she carries my joy or my desolation on her flighty shoulders, and dispenses it like manna to starved people. At the moment, we're getting along swimmingly.

My muse? To tell the truth, I still don't know.
Most of the time, though he's quite busy with me, dropping ideas into my head while I look at the sky, and providing a spark in my mind when I'm alone browsing the web. (Though often I'm lazy and I think he knows that). He's... interesting, and persistent. I wouldn't be half as good without him.

I've read what you have posted.
Have you been writing long before you joined deviantart? Because most of the newly joined members only scratch out unoriginal, overused ideas. I know I certainly did.
But yours already have their own sense of style and certainly not bad in the slightest.

Hi. Actually, I have been writing off and on for quite a few years, but never really shown anyone most of my creative pieces. I've just never joined deviantART until now. I have some other work I plan on putting up, but I haven't gotten around to it yet. Truth be told, I was waiting to see the response to my newer pieces before I jumped in head first.

I think you have nothing to worry about and just keep posting your writings. I jumped head first when I started and my beginning writing was horrible. But I still keep them because I think its funny to see how far I have improved. Even though its not by much.
